In July, U.S. Embassy San Jose, Minister of Education Sonia Marta Mora, CRUSA President David Gutierrez and Costa Rican Investment Promotion Agency (CINDE) President Luis Gamboa announced a new scholarship program to send promising Costa Rican students from Costa Rica’s public vocational high schools and public schools with International Baccalaureate programs to study STEAM fields at U.S. community colleges. Upon completion of their studies, students will complement their study experience with an internship in companies that operate in Costa Rica.
Five scholarships will be granted during this year’s selection process and starting in 2018, eight students will benefit from this initiative. Find the program announcement here: Apply for a scholarship! – Program will send high school students to the United States
