“As English teachers, you build the foundation for your students’ development. Your teachings will open employment and academic doors for them. You are their mentors, and your participation in this conference strengthens your skills”.
With these words, U.S. Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Michael Flores highlighted the importance of the 38th National Conference for Teachers of English that the Binational Center organized and where Costa Rican teachers participated.
This year’s three-day conference featured virtual and in-person sessions that revolved around the theme Inspiring Change to promote English language learning in versatile, accessible, and empowering spaces.
The United States Embassy supports English teachers in Costa Rica through training opportunities, scholarships, workshops, and conferences that contribute to their professional development and help them improve their teaching skills.
