Viceminister of Technology, Minister of Foreign Trade, US Ambassador to Costa Rica, Secretary Raimondo, Technology Minister, INA Chair, and General Richardson pose at INA Centro de Excelencia in HerediaSAN JOSE, Costa Rica – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo co-led a roundtable discussion with Costa Rica’s Minister of Science, Innovation, Technology and Telecommunications (MICITT) Paula Bogantes, Costa Rica’s Minister of Foreign Trade Manuel Tovar and industry and other stakeholders to discuss their collective commitments to support the Americas Partnership for Economic Prosperity (APEP) Center of Excellence (COE). The COE will support workforce development initiatives in Costa Rica, and across all APEP countries, in the semiconductor, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, 5G, and cloud computing industries. The companies in attendance also committed more than $47million to providing equipment, software, curriculum, and training programs that will benefit the future of Costa Rica’s workforce.
