Sirens and Signals in Case of Tsunami

The donation of five sirens and 300 signals indicating where to go in case of a tsunami will help Quepos, Tivives, Jaco and Esterillos be better prepared to face such natural disasters.

This project is the result of the joint work of the U.S. Embassy Office of Defense Representative Humanitarian Assistance Program and the Costa Rican National Emergencies Committee (CNE).

The donation is valued at USD $119,000.
