The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) donated an all-terrain vehicle to the Costa Rican Border Police for the transportation of materials and supplies.
The vehicle, valued in $122,500, supports the surveillance work the Border Police performs while surveying hundreds of kilometers in the borders with Nicaragua and Panama with their 400 officers.

This donation is another example of the existing cooperation between the U.S. government and Costa Rica for the protection of its borders, the fight against trafficking in persons and smuggling in the region.
