Caldera, Puntarenas – April 26th, 2018
As part of the security cooperation with Costa Rica, the United States donated a third Libertador 110 foot cutter.
Thanks to this third vessel, Costa Rica is now better prepared to safeguard its territory from narcotrafficking, trafficking in persons, illegal fishing and other illicit activities. It also will be able to respond faster to emergencies and provide humanitarian support.
“This donation is evidence of our unyielding commitment to guarantee the security of our waters and borders so we keep our communities secure,” said U.S. Ambassador Sharon Day.
