United States Supports Ambitious Project to Improve Employment Opportunities for Young Costa Ricans

Paniamor Foundation and YouthBuild International have begun an ambitious project to improve employment opportunities for young Costa Ricans by expanding opportunities for work-based training for youth, such as apprenticeships, with a focus on including vulnerable and marginalized youth. This project is funded by a $3 million grant from the U.S. Department of Labor.

The project was introduced during the commemoration of the World Day against Child Labor, with the participation of public, private, trade union, and non-governmental organizations and was attended by acting President Epsy Campbell, Minister of Labor Steven Núñez, and U.S. Embassy Political and Economic Officer Tim Huson.
